Terms and Privacy
Hi — I’m Emily Breder. This is the website for Uncommon Creators, a project built to support independent, creative professionals with workflow challenges. I believe in clarity, mutual respect, and transparency — including how I run this site.
This page covers both the terms of use and the privacy policy for this site. If you have questions or want anything clarified or removed, just reach out via the contact form.
Who We Are
The site address is https://emilybreder.com. It’s owned and maintained by me (Emily Breder), and everything here is created or curated in service of helping Uncommon Creators thrive.

If you leave a comment on the blog, we collect:

Your IP address and browser info (for spam protection)

Once your comment is approved, it becomes publicly visible, along with your name and avatar (if available).
Uploading Media
If you upload images, please make sure they don’t include location data (EXIF GPS), since others may be able to extract that information.
Cookies
This site uses cookies to make your visit smoother. For example:
-
If you comment, you can opt-in to save your name/email in a cookie so you don’t have to re-enter them next time. This cookie lasts one year.

If you log in (for future features), temporary cookies may be used to remember your session or screen preferences.
You can clear or block cookies anytime through your browser settings.
Embedded Content
Sometimes posts will include embedded content from other websites (like YouTube, Substack, or social feeds). These sites may collect data, set cookies, or track your interaction — just as if you visited them directly. I don’t control what they collect, so refer to their privacy policies if you’re concerned.

Possibly understand visitor behavior through privacy-friendly analytics (if used in the future)
How Long We Keep It
-
Comments and their metadata stay indefinitely, so replies can show up without moderation delays.

What You Can Ask For
If you’ve interacted with this site — by commenting or making an account — you can:
-
Ask for a copy of your data
-
Ask for your data to be deleted
Just send a message via the contact form, and I’ll handle it promptly. This doesn’t include any info we’re legally required to retain for security or administrative purposes.
Your Info Is Not For Sale
I don’t rent, sell, or share your personal data with anyone — period. Certain features (like comment spam filters or video embeds) may involve third-party tools, but no marketing data is collected or shared.
